During the next year the Algonquin people need to
maintain a focus on the extensive job ahead of us, by reading your ANR
newsletters and attending upcoming Community meetings. Through open information
sessions the ANR, Leadership will be turning to you for direction over the next
year and a half. A thousand acres of Land is not a nation without a citizen to
walk it’s soil. If the Algonquin Nation is to move forward as a unified body it
must be defined with recognized Algonquins having equal rights. No doubt
Over the next year and a half as your ANR I will be
standing in front of you, asking for your input on Eco-Tourism, Economic
Development, Housing, Land,
Sacred Sights, Forestry, Harvesting,
and many other topics. As a
Leader I need to be prepared for a Negotiation process to unfold post
